Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor: an innovative outdoor motion detector
Security systems Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor: an innovative outdoor motion detector

Ajax Systems develops and produces innovative wireless security systems that helps people in 70 countries around the world protect their apartments, houses, cottages and offices from fire, robbery and flooding. The Ukrainian company was founded in 2011. Ajax is the most awarded wireless security system in Europe.

Ajax succeeded to find its niche in the European market, but in order to conquer more customers, it was necessary to expand its product line with outdoor motion detectors. This stems from the fact that a significant part of Europeans live outside the city in private houses.

For the release of the detector that meets all requirements, the company needed time, but it was necessary to maintain its position in the market. To solve this problem, Ajax has released the module Transmitter that only works with Ajax Hub using Jeweller’s secure protocol, which allows you to connect third-party wired detectors to Ajax control panel.

to the point: Ajax Hub Plus: the replenishing a products line by a wireless intelligent control panel of the new generation

The next step in creating an innovative external security system was the development of an outdoor motion detector. The company’s specialists appealed to professionals working in the market of security services, and found that the problem of most outdoor motion detectors is a false alarm that cause inconvenience for security system owners and security companies. For this reason, many companies do not include outdoor motion detectors in their security system.

Considering the main problems of outdoor motion detectors, Ajax specialists have draw up a number of requirements:

  • Complete elimination of false alarms, even when it works in extreme conditions;
  • Immediate informing of the owner and security company in case of opening, vandalism, masking of the outdoor detector;
  • Fast alarm sending, long-term battery backup autonomous work, huge communication range.

Wireless detector Motion Protect Outdoor with anti-masking function conforming the Grade 3 level of EN 50131 standard, with two-factor LISA (Live Intelligent Spectrum Analysis) digital algorithm for the complete elimination of false alarms – this is a new level of outdoor security.

The motion detector is protected by a tamper against unauthorized opening or attempts to disrupt it from fasteners, has a high degree of protection against dust and moisture (IP54), can work in conditions of humidity up to 100 % and temperatures from -25 to + 60C. It will be an excellent solution for the outdoor protection of houses, villas, townhouses, offices and other objects.

Motion Protect Outdoor constantly gets signals from two PIR sensors with a delay of no more than 1.5 seconds. In case of identity, detector transmits an alarm to the control panel. The two-factor digital LISA algorithm allows to completely eliminate false alarms, thanks to which the detector has immunity to animals up to 80 cm in height, birds, swaying branches of trees and shrubs, insects, leaves and other interferences. Motion Protect Outdoor is able to detect motion at a distance of up to 15 meters. Signal transmission distance is up to 1700 m. The detector works up to five years from 2 CR123A batteries (included in the package) or from an external power source.

Motion Protect Outdoor does not need to be disassembled, it is ready to work out of the box, because the battery is already installed. All that is needed for installation the detector is to fix the fastening panel SmartBracket at a height of 0.8 – 1.3 meters, connect it to the control panel Ajax Hub according to the instructions and install the Ajax application on the smartphone.
