Safety of medical workers with the help of GPS trackers

The management of “Status” asked for advice to its partner in the Federation of Security Professionals of Ukraine – the company “Intechplus Security”, which is engaged in the implementation of modern GPS / GSM-technologies in the provision of security and safety services.

The staff of Intechplus Security offered to use a personal tracker in the form of a badge – Teltonika GH5200, which has not only the “Alarm” button, but also the function of two-way voice communication. This tracker recently passed the successful exams at Intechplus Security and was recommended for use by security companies in providing security and safety services.

Intechplus Security also took on all the responsibilities related to the purchase, inspection and adjustment of GPS equipment for the medical laboratory for their needs, concluding appropriate agreements and writing instructions for using the tracker by medical staff, organizing the interaction of physicians, the Monitoring Center operator. and security companies.

Interaction algorithm

The algorithm of interaction is as follows: before the start of the working day, the staff of the medical institution sends to the Monitoring Center of Intechplus Security a list of addresses (street, house and apartment numbers, floor, intercom code, etc.) where you plan to leave. However, if the visit to the patient is urgent (unscheduled), the medical worker informs the address of the patient directly to the operator of the Center using the tracker’s voice communication function. Upon entering the Alarm Monitoring Center, the operator uses GPS software of the Monitoring, Security and Safety System of Intechplus Security to determine the GPS coordinates of the Alarm and the address of the house, and from the list – the apartment number and floor.

The monitoring system also allows you to identify the closest to the tracker with “Alarm” mobile response groups of partner security companies, with which a response agreement was previously concluded. Upon receipt of an alarm message, the operator has the technical ability to monitor the situation through the tracker’s microphone and, if necessary, call the National Police.

The results of the implementation of the solution

Thus, the algorithm of departure of the mobile response group of the security company when receiving an alarm notification from the GPS-tracker is similar to the algorithm of action when the security alarm is triggered in the apartment at a pre-known address. Such joint use of modern technologies and partnership cooperation of member companies of the Federation of Security Professionals of Ukraine allowed to solve the customer’s problem in the shortest possible time, and security companies – to attract additional funds and gain new experience in providing security and safety services.
