Dahua Technology, a leading video surveillance solutions provider, is excited to announce its Face Recognition Camera has been recognized in Security Sales and Integration’s 2018 Top 30 Technology Innovations list. Delivering intelligence at the edge, the Face Recognition camera includes a variety of Dahua features from Starlight to Artificial Intelligence capabilities.
“We are thrilled to have the 2MP Face Recognition Camera included in this year’s roundup,” said Jennifer Hackenburg, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Dahua Technology USA. “We work hard to create innovative solutions that solve real-world problems and could not be happier to see those efforts recognized.”
The Dahua 2MP Starlight Face Recognition camera offers AI capabilities at the edge, enabling complex, real-time facial recognition and facial feature comparison without the need for an external database. Featuring an advanced Vision Processor Unit (VPU), the camera is able to deliver high-performance machine vision and awareness, allowing for advanced vision applications that were previously impossible with conventional ISPs. The powerful VPU, combined with Dahua’s Deep Learning Technology, enables the camera to better enhance targets to extract and categorize various facial features, from age and gender to expression and glasses or facial hair.
Including human facial feature extraction and real-time snapshots, the camera is able to support a database of up to 10,000 faces across five separate libraries. Ideal for deployments which require management for points of entrance or exit, enabling security personnel to keep better tabs on those in their facilities.
Dahua has continued to reaffirm its commitment to the security industry through the production of creative and innovation technologies. This is backed by a continuing focus on improved offerings across a variety of product lines to meet ever-evolving customer needs.
